From Download to First Compression
- 1 Run the installer — double-click, follow the prompts, done.
- 2 Get your API key — visit tinypng.com/developers, register free, copy your key.
- 3 Paste the key — open TinyOpt, go to Settings → API Key, paste and save.
- 4 Start compressing — drag in images or folders, hit Compress.

Download FAQ
Yes. TinyOpt uses TinyPNG's compression engine. The free tier gives you 500 compressions/month. If you exceed that, paid plans start at $0.008/image.
Images are sent only to TinyPNG's API for compression over encrypted connections and deleted immediately after. We do not log, store, or track your images. Your API key stays on your machine.
Not yet — Windows only. Mac and Linux builds are on the roadmap.
